Illustrative Logo Samples

Description

Hey everyone!
So, it just hit me! Just because I haven't had the chance to finish the next DEAD DAYS, doesn't mean I can't post a sampling of the other tons of crap I work on everyday! Admittedly, it's much more graphic design oriented, but just because it's not "funny" (I use that term loosely when it comes to my comics) doesn't mean I can't post it, right?

I've gotten way too picky about the stuff I post on here. If you browse way back in my gallery, you'll notice that I used to post ANYTHING. If I so much approached a piece of paper with an artful intention, it made the internet. So why not do that now that I'm doing cool stuff?

Anyhoo, here is a quick sampling of a few of the logos I've done for clients over the past months. As you can see, they run the gamut of personal, to quirky, to just plain weird, to pancakes. Unlike DEAD DAYS, these were all done in vector with Adobe Illustrator.

The BatterUp Pancakes one is especially weird as they opened a restaurant RIGHT NEXT to my condo. I can literally see the huge glowing signage from my balcony. The kid stares at me with his hypnotizing gaze EVERY NIGHT before bed. Creepy.

Anyhoo, this is one of a bunch of posts I'm about to do, so enjoy the graphic design, peeps! New DEAD DAYS is in the works! Promise!

what I like about these is that they use solid base colors.

Alot of designers forget that it is far more efficiant to do so so that when actually producing signage it is alot more effiecient and easier to print... for things like cars so you don't have to use a digital graphic and you can use vinyl stickers. It also helps majorly with legibility by making it much more clear and recognisable from a very far way away.

Interesting companies though. XD
