Well, if you don't know, Gay couples are FLOCKING to California (yes, the Schwarzenegger state) right now to tie the perverbial knot. Yep, it's a Gay Marriage free for all and Gay people couldn't be gayer... you know, the "happy" kinda gay. But as we speak, congress is trying (pretty well by the looks of it) to pass a law BANNING any future gay marriages. Will the constitution protect the gay rights like it should?
Probably not. It might be technically unconstitutional to ban it, something tells me the straight majority's gonna bend those rules. But who knows... anything could happen I suppose. Hell, I'd be happy to see it stay. Whatever floats your boat I say. I don't think people should be denied their basic human rights. Some people say that Marriage is a privelage, not a right. I say Bullflop to that. Aaanyway, here's a little politics for those who like that sorta stuff.
In other news, people are getting their Dead Days books and they seem pretty jazzed about it! And they should! They kick ass! Specially for 3 bucks. Anyway, there are still some availiable if you wanna place your order. you know what i find the most stupid thing of all, is the fact that they think that if you bann these marriages that gay people are gonna turn straight somehow, i mean they're still gonna love each other no matter what

it isn't fair to deny some the rights that others get for doing the exact same thing - living together - sharing expenses and responsibilities.

as for sterile families, there is always the option of adoption. That is also one of the reasons why homosexual couples cannot adopt a child.






Like I said, marriage beneficts are not given because two people decided to live together; but rather because one can establish a family, and conditions must be provided allow for that happen.

That is also the reason why unmarried heterosexual couples do not have those beneficts, because the possiblity of having children is far smaller. Do not bring fertility into the matter, that is a sickness problem, and far beyond the scope of 'normal' political thinking.


Don't know how the laws are at your country/state, but that pretty much is the ground rule and politics for, say, 90% of the civilized world?



not wanting to start an argument though. you have the right to your oppinion as I have to mine, and I'm far to busy to start a discussion that will not move us out of our thinking... ;)

my friend Noel - a lesbian in a life long commited relationship - is pregnant through artificial insemination. There have been studies into whether children brought up by gays are any different - and they aren't.
Being a lesbian this is my fight, and yeah you have a point with majority rule, but I also believe in minority rights.

anyhoo - nice to come across someone who actually talks about their reasoning instead of just insulting people for a change.
